Whitehouse Expands after Busy Summer

It’s been a busy summer here at Whitehouse HQ! We’ve been up and down the country providing our plates, crockery, glassware and tableware for events of all shapes and sizes.

From product launches to promotional events, showcases to open days, our crockery has been hired for use at all kinds of events so far this year. We have also been especially busy with weddings over the summer months; with one or two celebrity names gracing our client list!

Due to the increase in demand for our crockery from both new and repeat clients, we have welcomed five new members of staff to our team since June. Now taking our total number of employees to 9, our team includes the lovely Racheal who has joined us as office manager who is doing a great job of dealing with customer orders and managing the logistics of our deliveries.

In another method to meet customer demand we have also invested in a further delivery vehicle. With the new van now on the road, we are able to provide an enhanced service and shorter ordering deadlines for our catering, private and restaurant clients throughout the UK.

In addition to expanding our workforce, we have also increased the setting numbers available for some of our most popular ranges and some fabulous new ranges. This includes our hugely popular Grace gold cutlery. As one of the few high end suppliers offering gold cutlery hire in the UK, we can now provide up to 600 place settings.

Planning the Perfect Wedding!

I started Finesse Planning (www.finesseplanning.com) over 8 years ago to offer a design led planning service for couples wanting something personal and unique. Since then I have helped hundreds of couples achieve their perfect wedding whilst having fun during the planning process. I also had the honour of winning The 2013 Wedding Industry Awards for Best Wedding Planner (Independent).

As a design led wedding planner, one of the most enjoyable elements of my work is preparing the ‘Design Book’. After an initial discussion with my couple, I go away and use their ideas, wants, dreams and desires to produce a complete design proposal for their wedding. This 13 page book is then presented for them to choose the elements of the wedding they wish to have such as stationery, floral arrangements, attire, furniture, lighting, not forgetting the tableware plus so much more.
From the beginning of the journey to the very end, I work very closely with my couples, building a relationship that exceeds that of a normal wedding planner/client so that I can gain a true understanding of the type of wedding they are looking to create. It is so important to me that the wedding truly represents the both of them and this is why I facilitate them with ideas, so they can make the final decisions on every element of the wedding.

When working on the design book, with all of my weddings I immediately go straight to Whitehouse Event Crockery’s website for inspiration and to choose items to propose to my clients. Without fail there is always something that works with any scheme. For a recent wedding, the original scheme was to include the gold beaded daisy plate, however, after a lovely visit from Marc with an array of new products, I knew instantly that the pink Sienna charger would work perfectly with the Alex glassware and would add something unique to the popular blush and silver scheme. It didn’t disappoint!

Heaton House Farm collaberates with Whitehouse

Cheshires leading wedding and event venue, Heaton House Farm, is a beautifully converted former dairy farm, offering couples a unique wedding nestled in the heart of the countryside. Heaton House Farm is located between the rolling hills of the picturesque Staffordshire and Cheshire borders and has been in the hands of the same family for seven generations. It is a collection of charming sandstone barns that beautifully blends rustic charm with contemporary chic. Set behind an unassuming farming facade, this lovingly designedhidden gemoffers exclusive use for a range of celebrations, large or small. Every year Whitehouse Event Crockery is invited to contribute to the farms inspirational dining tables at its renowned annual wedding fayre. The team of talented Event Coordinators are given a theme and tasked with designing a table set to blow couples away with the wonderful new ideas and suppliers to hit the industry.

This year they were givenSeasonsand Whitehouse Event Crockery provided something for every table! The crockery set a high standard and finished off the tables perfectly. There were some very excited couples when they saw the limitless options available to them.

In addition to the wedding fayre the venue will run several open days and evenings throughout the year. Couples are able to informally view the venue and meet with staff and suppliers in a relaxed environment. Like the wedding fayre, Whitehouse Event Crockery will often dress the tables with their latest beautiful designs, to help couples visualise the incredible potential available to them. The day and evening events are hugely popular and seen as a great opportunity for couples to see ceremony and dining set ups and to talk through their day with wedding industry professionals.

In March the venue hosted a pop-up dining experience at its new rustic barn The Old Stableyard, with Whitehouse Event Crockery supplying delicate Summerglass plates, Pennyblack 10x 5 oblong and round 10porcelain plates and Penny white 10 plates. The delicious seven course meal on the Saturday night, created by premier event caterers Vanilla in Allseasons, went down a treat and looked utter perfection on the beautiful crockery. There were raving comments left, such as:

Sam Hughes Really had no idea what to expect but had a fantastic evening with superb food and wine in a beautifully refurbished room which has lots of character. The wood burning stove created a great ambiance too……..cant wait for the next one!

Exciting Year Ahead for Whitehouse

2014 was a successful (and very busy!) year for Whitehouse and 2015 has already started with a bang! So with a number of new developments to the business and new ranges due to be added throughout the next 12 months, we thought we’d give you a run down of what’s to come.

As you may have noticed, we have launched a brand new website for 2015. With a fresh look and improved functionality, the new site has been designed to make it easier for clients to locate and obtain information on the ideal products for their event. Featuring our full range of crockery, tableware, glassware and cutlery, along with fantastic images and detailed product information, we are hopeful that clients will benefit from the easier enquiry and ordering process from Whitehouse.

We have a number of new lines planned for 2015, the first of which is the Sienna range of chargers. These stunning round charger plates come in bronze, black, red, green and purple and make the perfect compliment to a table for a special event, or even as an alternative serving plate. Available in quantities of up to 500 in each colour, the Sienna range (shown in the image below) is the perfect addition to our existing lines of round and square charger plates.

Following the overwhelming success of our first cutlery range in 2014, we will this year be expanding the range, initially with a line of gold cutlery. Also coming soon (Spring 2015), we will be adding to our ever popular glassware range with a new sleek and contemporary Italian collection.

The past year has taken us all over the country delivering the finest in event crockery for events such as gala dinners, exclusive launch parties, private dinner parties, weddings and corporate functions. From London to Edinburgh, Cardiff to Glasgow and multiple destinations in between, our crockery, glassware and cutlery have been hired by clients far and wide. We’re proud to provide the UK catering and event industries with “something special and unique” and our passion for quality crockery, tableware, glassware and cutlery sourced from around the world really does help to make a special dining occasion stand out from the crowd.
