A few words about,
and a great number of photos showing,
our Whitehouse-oriented photoshoot.
How best to show off all your company has to offer than with a fabulous, four-part photoshoot, complete with neon signs, opulent florals, delicate stationery, colourful linen, delectable cakes and a prosecco wall, hosted in one of our absolute favourite venues: Iscoyd Park. When our little team here at Whitehouse first conceived of the idea, it was something very small, quaint and simple, however as more and more people entered the scene, it became something that exceeded even our wildest expectations. With myself [Matilda] coordinating the team, impeccable styling from Kristin [MR X MRS W] and photography from the every-inspiring Sam Sparks [Sam Spark Photography], the final product is one that puts our products in the limelight, capturing the gorgeous details that make our pieces so popular.
Look One:
Charger plate: Alicia | Porcelain: Eleanor pink | Goblets: Amber/ Jemima pink | Water glass: Martha pink | Teapots: Vintage range
When Kristin and I sat down to design this table, we began in a disturbingly conservative way. Gold plates and cutlery, clear glassware, maybe a coloured. We very quickly realised, however, that we could actually do anything we wanted! Letting go of our inhibitions, we mixed pink and yellow tones together to create this quirky, Alice in Wonderland-style table, with candles in teapots to add that final Mad Hatter touch. At the time of conception, this table design didn’t have any specific stationery to go with it, but by a stroke of luck Cath [Raspberry Toast] had some pieces that matched our vision perfectly. I was especially taken on the day with how the coral napkins from Just 4 Linen looked on the table, not only working as a brilliant contrast against the yellow, but also adding that little bit of style, since Living Coral is Pantone’s 2019 colour of the year.
Look Two:
Charger plates: Sienna purple/Zara | Victoria glassware | Jemima lilac tumbler | Blair cutlery
For this second look, Kristen and I thought we’d take the cliche of a pink wedding and turn into something a little bit more intriguing. Using Whitehouse’s dark purple plates, black cutlery and lilac tumblers, we made a table that mixed traditional and modern elements together, with the malleable nature of Iscoyd Park’s Coach House working to our advantage. Always going above and beyond, Red Floral matched the different purple tones with this incredible bouquet in the center, combining effortlessly with Balloon Boutique Events‘ amazing table runner. Looking sleek and mysterious, both Kristen and I loved how perfect this table would be for a bride that wants something a bit different at her wedding, moving away from regularly-used colour palettes whilst still keeping a few feminine touches.
Look Three:
Connie pastel blue charger plate | Sofia plate | Alice cutlery | Pippa blue tumbler | Martha blue water glass | Megan champagne flute
One of the main aims of this photoshoot was to show off as many of the new pieces that have arrived this year, which our third look of the day pulled of seamlessly. Using all the blue we could find at Whitehouse, the idea for this table was to be something soft, bright and easy going: perfect for a bridal or baby shower, a birthday brunch or an outdoors event. We were over the moon when the sun started to stream in, adding that extra touch to this glittering scene and making it almost feel like summer. Halfway through photographing it, Kristin realised that the spare yellow napkins we had [which were going to be used in the first look] would look brilliant on the blue because of the yellow details on Cath’s stationery. I think it’s safe to say, she was right.
Look Four:
Tessa rose-gold charger plate | Maya stoneware | Rosana cutlery | Naomi glassware | Jemima slate water glass
Perhaps saving the best for last, this rose-gold set-up captured all of our hearts as the day was ending. Though we were slightly exhausted from setting up and taking down three looks already, we found ourselves re-energised by this exquisite look, backed by the most stylish neon from the Lancashire Flower Wall Company. The dark wood of the table complimented the rose-gold tones perfectly on the day, with every element working together to create something coherent and seamless. As we were putting the plates down, Rebecca [from the Lancashire Flower Wall Company] and I found ourselves oo-ing and ahh-ing about just how gorgeous it looked, especially since the sun was giving the whole room a warm, autumnal glow.
Extra bits:
Of course, I had to include all the other parts of the shoot that weren’t particular to any of the four looks. We were lucky enough to get 2 cakes from Union Cakes, each having a unique design that was so easy to work with. For both, we chose very uniformed and perfectly-placed crockery to surround them, since the designs themselves were enough to make the tables look fantastic. The final look was incredibly chic, showing off everyone’s pieces without needing to fill all the space. Another part of the shoot was the towering prosecco wall [also brought by the Lancashire Flower Wall Company] which was filled with our Luna champagne glasses. Though the wall is impressive on its own, the addition of the rose-gold balloons created something so awe-inspiring that we didn’t want to empty out the glasses at the end of the day! To capture the last of the light, Sam and I also went outside to get some *traditional-style* pictures of our vintage range, putting them into their natural habitat and watching them shine.
To everyone who helped to bring this all together: thank you. But also thank you to everyone who has been following Whitehouse’s progress. Even at the start of this year, we hardly felt that we were ready to create something that was completely based around crockery, assuming that there wasn’t enough interest to justify it. Just from the initial response, however, we’ve seen how much you’ve all loved it, which has only made us more excited for the next project. We want to go bigger, better, and more outrageous. Are you ready for it? Because we certainly are.
